Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy covers the 3MF Sanitizer website and the Chrome extension 3MF Sanitizer for MakerWorld.
What the tools do
Both tools flatten a 3MF file from Bambu Studio or MakerWorld so it can open in Cura, PrusaSlicer, and Anycubic. Painted colors, filament colors, and designer print settings stay in the cleaned copy. The original file is left unchanged.
Chrome extension
The extension has one purpose. When a .3mf file finishes downloading from MakerWorld, it offers to make that cleaned copy on your computer.
- Sanitizing happens in the browser on your device. The 3MF is not uploaded to TechJeeper Designs or to any other server.
- A local copy of a file is kept only after you choose Sanitize, and only until sanitizing finishes or you dismiss the offer. That copy is then deleted.
- Host access is used to read the MakerWorld file you already downloaded, including the short-lived file link MakerWorld gives the browser. The extension does not browse MakerWorld for you and does not read unrelated sites.
- The downloads permission notices that a MakerWorld .3mf finished downloading, and saves the separate filename_cleaned.3mf into your Downloads folder.
- A notification asks whether to sanitize that file. The choices are Sanitize and Not now.
- Storage remembers whether offers are turned on, and the short list of recent files waiting for your choice. It does not store your account, and it does not keep the 3MF itself.
- The extension does not sell or transfer user data. It does not use data for advertising, credit, or lending.
Website
A 3MF you drop on the website is processed in your browser. It is not uploaded.
The website counts page views with GoatCounter. That count does not use cookies and does not include your name or the contents of a 3MF file. The extension does not use GoatCounter.
